She will be teaching you the smaller quilt techniques.
We will NOT be doing the BIG quilt in class!

Prepared Edge Hand Applique -  All supplies available at Merrily We Quilt Along

Prepared Edge applique class with award winning quilter Katherine Malone.  Learn techniques used in creating her award winning Baltimore Album style quilt Missouri Splendor.  Perfect circles, spaghetti bias strips, reverse applique, convex and concave curves, points, deep “v” ;  how to read the layers of a pattern; how to modify a pattern to fit your skill set but most of all enjoying the process.

~ Cutrite freezer paper sheet

~ Stiletto / Awl

~ White Crafter's Choice Bristle Dome Stencil Brush-1/8

~ Width, 1/8" ; Brand. Royal Brush or Traditional Primitives ~

~ Starch Brush

~ Small iron

~ Ironing mat such as 8” square felt or 6” square mini cut & ~

~ press June Tailor

~ Starch (I use ¼ cup best press + ¼ cup regular starch)

~ If you have a light box/pad (I use HSK B4/A3s Artist tracing

   Light Box )

~ Applique needles or Sharps

~ Needle Threader if you need one

~ Paper scissors

~ Fabric Scissors I use Karen K Buckley Scissors

~ Fabrics various 5” to 10” square scraps

~ Neutral background fabric fat quarter

~ Thread colors to match your fabrics

~ light/medium gray thread to make circles

CLASS POLICY:
1. Fees must be paid at time of registration.
2. Phone registrations taken with a credit card.
3. Refunds given only if we are notified at least 7 business days prior to class.
4. Minimum of 3 students per class. Class will be canceled if minimum is not met and a full refund will be given.
5. No children, babies, or guests in class.
6. You must obtain a supply list PRIOR to each class. Read it completely to see what supplies are necessary AND what preparation needs to be done.
7. Where required, please bring a sewing machine in good working order and that you are familiar with operating. Teachers will not spend class time learning your sewing machine.
